The more stringent public health procedures enter in Hamilton, York, and Halton areas as these 3 areas in Toronto are designated as COVID-19 red zones.

Toronto signed up with Peel Region for a complete lockdown – on Saturday.

Toronto considered ‘red zone’ beginning Saturday; more stringent city-imposed shutdowns in place

Areas such as Durham and Waterloo will relocate to the orange alert level, and 6 more, consisting of Windsor-Essex and Sudbury, will sign up with the yellow alert level.

Today’s advancements come days after Premier Doug Ford reduced the limits for his color-coded constraints system.

He stated on Friday that current COVID-19 forecasts reveal the province is “gazing down the barrel of another lock-down.”
