NFL 2022 roster cuts, additions: Live updates, latest news and rumors as all 32 teams finalize 53-man roster

The 2022 preseason is in the books, and now it’s full-speed to the regular season. As we rocket towards the Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills kicking the year off on Sept. 8, there is still work to be done for all 32 clubs across the NFL. After trimming down rosters incrementally over the course of the past few weeks, teams must now bring their roster to 53 men by Tuesday’s 4 p.m. ET deadline.

Throughout the offseason and for the bulk of the summer, teams could hold as many as 90 players on their roster. Already we’ve seen two waves of cuts, bringing the max totals down to 85 (on Aug. 16) and 80 (on Aug. 23), respectfully. This time around, it’s a much more dramatic change, as about one-third of the players on every roster will become free agents.

As is the case almost every season, there are bound to be a couple of surprise cuts that catch the NFL by surprise, so you’ll want to keep your head on a swivel. To help with that and keep you caught up with all the action, we’ve rolled out our live tracker, where we’ll be doing most of the heavy lifting and chronicling all the moves across the league as teams get down to their opening 53-man rosters.
