Ronald Keith Bertram – Duluth News Tribune
Ronald Keith Bertram, age 67, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center–East Bank Hospital, Minneapolis.
Ron was born in 1954 to Leslie and Donna (Hormann) Bertram in Grand Rapids. He graduated from Grand Rapids Senior High School and attended Itasca Community College. He worked at Hibbing Taconite Company for 30 years, retiring in 2007.
Known for his generosity and big heart, Ron was a man of deep faith and a devoted student of the Bible. His favorite quote was, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son.” Ron loved small animals and was famous for his “family” of cats and ferrets. Ron enjoyed cooking, reading history, playing competitive cribbage, exploring new restaurants, and working in his yard. He traveled regularly to Florida, Arizona, and Nevada.
Ron is survived by his sister, Renée Anduze; brother, Michael Bertram; stepsisters, Anita Drew, Kay Watson, and Bonnie Hilts; and numerous cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Ron in Grand Rapids in July, further details to be announced at a future date. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji, MN.
