KAHULUI — The Kamehameha Schools Maui boys volleyball team swept past Baldwin in its semifinal of the Maui Interscholastic League Division I tournament on Tuesday at the Shine Matsui Athletic Center in Kahului.
The top-seeded Warriors improved to 12-1 on the season with the 25-20, 25-18, 25-17 victory. Baldwin’s season ended at 5-9.
Kale Spencer led the Warriors with 16 kills, seven assists, five digs and three blocks. Dylan Schnitzer had seven kills, Pookela Aiu had six kills and four digs, Makana Pang had five digs, Jai Viela dished out 22 assists and had four aces, and Nahale Dukelow had three blocks.
The Bears were led by Avery Pauole with seven kills, while Darren Castillo had three kills and an ace, and R.J. Velasco had five digs and three aces.
